About Fernanda G. Duque

I am a PhD candidate in the Neuroscience program at Georgia State University. I am interested in understanding vocal communication and social behavior in birds, especially hummingbirds. I take a neuroethological approach in my research, studying behaviors, the adaptations underlying them, and the neural mechanisms that enable specific behavioral outputs. I also incorporate into my work ecological and evolutionary perspectives to portray a holistic view of the phenomena I study.
