About Carly Vynne

My principal motivation is to help ensure that natural places and wild species can thrive together with humanity now and into the future. To that end, I work to bring to the table (or into the field) uncommon partners, novel approaches, and an open mindset. I bring a background in wildlife biology, landscape ecology, and public lands policy to help design and implement innovative conservation programs and wildlife studies. As Director of Wildlife and Habitat Conservation for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (2011-2015), I worked with agencies, industry, Tribes, and non-profit organizations to design and implement innovative programs to address some of the most pressing conservation challenges across the US. My success in assembling private-public partnerships helped prevent Endangered Species Listing of a number of Candidate Species, and helped improve the status of several other Endangered and Threatened Species. Currently, as a Principal at Osprey Insights and Strategic Partner with RESOLVE, I work across industry, agencies, and conservation organizations to develop programs that improve the outlook for fish, wildlife, and their habitats across the country and around the world.
